Brennen Meek
Brennen has been producing, engineering and mixing music full-time since 2015. Since then he has worked with artist such as country duo Sundy Best and americana artist Nicholas Jamerson, both of which had albums (“Peace Mountain”, "NJ" and "Almar Sky")'; featured in Rolling Stone and Billboard, Rachel Messer (The Voice season 15), Tabor Mullins, Jordan Allen & the Bellwethers and Bedford to name a few. Brennen has also mixed numerous television segments for The Country Network, in which he mixed live concerts for Rebecca Lynn Howard and Exile.
From humble beginnings with a few microphones, an interface and a laptop Brennen began recording songs and hoaning his craft through his high school years. As he would grow in one instrument, that would then give him a deeper understanding of how to properly record different source material. Straight out of high school, Brennen began working for various production companies and theaters, eventually becoming a live sound engineer through the years 2011-2015. In 2015 Brennen then moved to Nashville, TN to work in and attend the Blackbird Academy at Blackbird Studios. There he got to work with and learn from some of the greats such as, Alison Krauss, Ross Hogarth, David Thoener and Mark Rubel.
Following his graduation from Blackbird, Brennen immediately moved into and started operating Mountain Arts Center studios in Prestonsburg, Ky. Where there he has produced, mixed and mastered records for hundreds of Appalachian artists.
